    The Ministry of AYUSH suggests the following self-care guidelines for preventive health measures. It helps in boosting immunity with special reference to respiratory health.

    • Drink warm water throughout the day.
    • Take Chyavanprash in the morning. Sugar-free Chyavanprash is available for diabetic patients.
    • Daily practice of yoga, pranayama, and meditation for at least 30 minutes.
    • Drink herbal tea/Kadha made from tulsi (basil), kalimirch (black pepper), munakka (raisin), dalchini (cinnamon), and shunthi (dry ginger) one or two times a day.
    • Drink Haldi (turmeric) milk once a day.
    • Spices such as Haldi (Turmeric), Lahsun (Garlic), Dhaniya (Coriander), and Jeera (Cumin) are advised in cooking.
    • Apply sesame oil/coconut oil or Ghee in both the nostrils during morning and evening.
    • Steam inhalation with fresh Pudina (Mint) leaves or Ajwain (Caraway seeds) can be carried out once a day.
